Michael Shemyakin converted Gofman`s fairy tales into animated cartoon
Mikhail Shemyakin presented first part of full-length puppet cartoon "Gofmaniada" at Federal agency of culture and cinematography.
13 minutes of cartoon were prepared for 4 years, authors of cartoon - Shemyakin and "Souzmultfilm" - didn`t find money for its continuation.
Idea of puppet animated cartoon after fairy tales of German romanticist Gofman came to mind of "Souzmultfilm" studio head Akop Kirakosyan. Cooperation between artists and studio started after premiere of "Shelkunchik" ballet in 2001 where Shemyakin demonstrated himself as great producer, librettist, and costume designer.
"I am fond of Gofman from young ages? I was born in Moscow but taken to Germany as a child where I fall in love with German romanticists", - explained artist.
Cartoon is made by hand following old technologies, without computer animation. Premiere of piloted part of project is planned on spring of 2006.
